On this day in 2009, Ken Mink a 73 year old ball player for Roane State Community College hit a short jumper against Hiwassee College, becoming the oldest person to ever score a field goal in a college basketball game. Who was guarding this man? Earlier in his college basketball comeback, he sank two free throws in a game. I guess this could be understandable, but who was the guy who was guarding Mink when he hit the shot. I mean we are talking about a college basketball player, on a scholarship. Ken Mink has become a star. ESPN did an “Outside the Lines” story on him and he is all over the internet, but what about the guy he scored on. Where is he?

Good for you Mr. Mink. That’s awesome. I hope I can still move around at 73 if I even make it that far.
